Paula Allen

Paula Allen

Global Leader and SVP, Research and Client Insights, TELUS Health

Paula Allen is the global leader of research and total well-being at TELUS Health. In this role, she manages the research agenda for TELUS Health, which includes primary research, exploratory data science, research collaborations and meta-analyses. Her focus is on: discovering, defining and communicating industry trends; service development that aligns with emerging market needs; and supporting TELUS Health’s clients with insights and data-driven decision guidance. Allen is a well-recognized expert in all areas of workplace mental health, learning strategies, disability management and drug plan management.

Dr. Sean Peckover

Dr. Sean Peckover

Director, People and Culture Office of Vice-Chancellor, CQUniversity Australia

Dr Sean Peckover is the Associate Director Safety & Wellbeing at Central Queensland University. CQU is Queensland’s only dual sector University delivering VET and Higher Education qualifications to over 35 000 students across 4 states and multiple campuses. Sean has lead the CQU safety and wellbeing team for 14 years and has won the Work Safe and Return to Work Awards 2019 Queensland "Category 5 Best Health and Wellness Program" and "Category 6 (Closed Category) Best Demonstrated Leadership in WHS". Sean is passionate about the implementation of evidence-based health and wellness programs, which lead to the development of the University Mental Health Strategy “Mind Waves” which is a combined staff and student strategy. Sean has first hand experience building organisational mental health literacy as well as understanding the challenges of supporting staff and students withing regional Australia.

Nigel Richardson

Nigel Richardson

Director, Human Resources, ODPP New South Wales

Nigel Richardson was appointed as Director Human Resources in July 2015.

He has worked in human resources at the ODPP for 27 years, including as Personnel Co-ordinator, Assistant Manager Personnel and Manager Human Resources.

He has also held HR roles with the Public Service Board, Department of Industrial Relations and Employment, the NSW Department of Education and the NSW Archives Authority.

David Scott

David Scott

Head of HSEQ, ISS Facility Services

David leads the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality and Injury Assist functions, having joined ISS Facility Services in September 2022.

David has more than 30 years’ experience in health, safety and environment and injury management, in roles ranging from site-based operational through to senior leadership.

Prior to joining ISS, David was the APAC Head of Health and Safety for O-I Inc, a US headquartered container glass manufacturer, with functional responsibility for the HSE program at 12 manufacturing plants in Australia, New Zealand, China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam. O-I’s Australian and New Zealand business was acquired by Visy Industries in June 2020.

David is a health and safety generalist and exercise physiologist.

David holds a Bachelor of Human Movement Studies (UQ) and Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Health & Safety, with Distinction) (QUT).
