Wellbeing Check
Protecting your team’s wellbeing before stress becomes a risk
A Wellbeing check is particularly valuable for teams or groups experiencing intense and prolonged challenges in the workplace, whether this be due to internal or external factors. Prolonged periods of stress can have a negative impact on our mental health, and often, we are not aware of its impact on our wellbeing until we have become unwell.

Unchecked workplace stress can lead to serious consequences
Prolonged exposure to high-stress environments can silently impact your employees’ mental health, productivity, and engagement. Without early intervention, stress can lead to absenteeism, burnout, and even long-term psychological harm. Many employees don’t realise the impact of stress until it has already affected their wellbeing.
As a leader, how can you proactively safeguard your team’s mental health and maintain high performance?
Wellbeing Check—proactive support before issues escalate
Our Wellbeing Check service helps organisations identify and address wellbeing risks early, preventing minor stressors from turning into serious concerns. Conducted by expert clinicians, Wellbeing Checks create a safe space for employees to discuss their challenges and access strategies to build resilience.

Case Study
Safeguarding federal government case managers' wellbeing reduces risk and improves performance
The challenge
A federal government agency handling Workplace Health and Safety cases noticed that the confronting nature of their work was taking a toll on case managers. Employees were experiencing compassion fatigue, unplanned leave, and increased errors in assessments—negatively affecting both wellbeing and business performance. They needed a proactive solution and turned to their EAP provider, TELUS Health.
The solution
In collaboration with their dedicated Customer Success Manager, the agency implemented a tailored Wellbeing Check service. Initially, 10 employees participated in confidential wellbeing checks with TELUS Health clinicians. The impact was immediate—so positive that the program was expanded to include all 72 case managers.
The results
The Wellbeing Checks gave employees a safe space to discuss their challenges, recognise their vulnerabilities, and build resilience. Some felt empowered to seek additional support, while others strengthened their commitment to self-care—helping them manage the psychological strains of their work.
By prioritising employee wellbeing, the agency has:
- Identified psychological risks among staff
- Expanded support from a pilot group to the entire team
- Reduced operational and financial risk exposure
- Strengthened workplace mental health and resilience
Protecting case managers' wellbeing isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s a strategic move that improves outcomes for employees and the organisation alike.
