Electronic medical records (EMR) are critical components of modern healthcare practices. EMR evolved from patient record-keeping to a powerful, fully digital tool that helps enhance each patient’s healthcare journey. It enables physicians to easily retrieve data, documents, and diagnostic histories for every individual in their care, and also streamlines collaboration between practitioners.

To obtain a more holistic view of the value EMR systems provide, TELUS Health facilitated a survey of 250 healthcare professionals across Canada called the EMR Usage and Drivers of Satisfaction Study. Participants were selected by region and specialty to produce a representative sample.
