Olivier Drouin, Vice President of Product Development at TELUS Health in the Retirement & Benefits Solutions business unit, brings over 25 years of expertise in information technology and project management. With a strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI) in product development, Olivier has spearheaded innovative solutions for benefits and pension administration.

His leadership has been instrumental in establishing and expanding project management practices, overseeing project offices, and effectively managing teams of over 200 employees. Olivier's action-oriented approach enables him to build and mobilize software development teams, leveraging AI to enhance benefits and pension administration processes.

A skilled communicator and influencer, Olivier excels in conveying the benefits of AI-driven solutions to peers and employees, driving engagement and strategic alignment. Through his customer-centric mindset, he continuously innovates to meet evolving needs in benefits and pension administration, leveraging AI for improved efficiency and accuracy.

Murray Wright

Murray Wright

Associate Partner, Consulting, TELUS Health

Murray Wright leads the Canada wide Demographic Risk and Pension Risk Management teams at TELUS Health. He is a consulting actuary with more than 15 years of experience providing regular advice to a variety of pension plans. In these roles, Murray helps pension plans across Canada to arrive at an integrated view of the risks associated with their assets and liabilities, and in particular the interaction between their assets and liabilities, which then helps to inform short and long-term objectives and strategy. Murray also led the development of TELUS Health’s proprietary multi-factor mortality model which allows pension plans of any size to determine plan specific mortality expectations.

Murray joined TELUS Health in 2019 after moving to Canada from the UK. Prior to working in Canada, he was Deputy Chief Actuary for a global asset and risk management consultancy. Murray sits on the Project Oversight Groups for the Canadian Institute of Actuaries on mortality improvements and pension mortality base tables. Murray holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Edinburgh. He is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and an Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Tejash Modi

Tejash Modi

Partner and Practice Lead, Regulatory and Governance, Consulting, TELUS Health

TJ is a Partner in TELUS Health’s Retirement and Benefit Solutions group and the Practice Leader for the company’s Regulatory and Governance, Legal and Compliance Consulting Practices. He is a licensed and practicing lawyer; he was admitted to the Ontario Bar in Canada in 2001. TJ has been with the company for over 18 years, and prior to that, worked for four years as an associate lawyer at an international human resources consulting firm, and 1.5 years as an associate lawyer with a litigation firm. He graduated with a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business in 1999.

TJ is responsible for advising the firm’s professionals and clients, both national and international, on pension and benefits plans, including design and documentation, regulatory compliance, wind ups, governance, mergers and acquisitions and related due diligence, surplus withdrawals and taxation. He also has extensive leadership experience in the area of insolvency related wind ups and deferred settlements as well as associated pension litigation.

TJ is a well-recognized expert in pension governance. He is a faculty member for the Osgoode Hall Law School Certificate in Pension Law teaching on governance and risk management. He is a regular speaker and presenter at professional workshops, industry and regulatory conferences internationally. TJ is a contributing author to the Handbook of Canadian Pension and Benefit Plans; he has specifically contributed to the chapters on pension and benefit plan governance, multi-employer pension plans and plan wind ups.

TJ is a member of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (Ontario) Standing Technical Advisory Committee for DB Single Employer Pension Plans

Sarah Sissons

Sarah Sissons

Partner, Atlantic Region Lead, Consulting, TELUS Health

Sarah has worked in the pension consulting industry for 23 years. Her focus for over 12 years has been driving multidisciplinary strategic pension projects for plan sponsors and boards in Atlantic Canada with a focus on Shared Risk Plans. She consults on more Shared Risk Plans than any other consultant and leads a team of consultants with a focus on Shared Risk Plans. She typically works with plan sponsors and boards of trustees or direct with finance and HR executives at public sector organizations.

Sarah has led many pension projects through redesign, merges, design funding and developing governance frameworks. She brings deep experience in operational efficiency and effectiveness in pension administration to control both organizational and pension plan risk and enhance the pension member experience. She is responsible for the Atlantic region practice with a particular focus on investing in future pension consultants. Sarah is also responsible for our relationship with multiple flagship pension clients, including one Canadian-owned multinational and two large public sector clients.

Before joining TELUS Health in 2010, Sarah worked at two other actuarial consulting firms in Canada where her focus was mainly on large energy sector clients. Sarah is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA).
