Global Employer Awards
The employer awards submission and judging process will be split into two parts, each weighted differently to provide a comprehensive evaluation.
1. Workplace Strategy Index (WSI)
The first is the completion of our Workplace Strategy Index (WSI). The WSI will assess where your company stands on four levels of maturity related to workplace mental health and generates a score.
- Compliance to basic risk management.
- Foundational support that responds to issues.
- Programming that can proactively impact wellbeing.
- Cultural Integration.
2. Short case study
The second part is a short 750 word written submission where you have the opportunity to demonstrate how your company has gone above and beyond to support your employees' wellbeing.
The WSI and the case study will need to be submitted at the same time.
Wellbeing Innovation Award
Recognising organizations that have implemented innovative and effective strategies to promote employee wellbeing.
Open to: Multinational organizations, Headquartered anywhere

- Leadership in Mental Health Advocacy
- Healthy Workplace Culture
- Impactful Health and Wellbeing Policies
Open to: Domestic or multinational headquartered in the relevant region.

Recognising an individual within a company who has gone above and beyond to champion employee wellbeing initiatives.
This can include individuals that have proactively engaged in the following:
- Innovative wellbeing initiatives
- Employee and community engagement
- Leadership in Mental Health Advocacy
- Healthy Workplace Culture
- Impactful Health and Wellbeing Policies
Open to: Employees at any level of the company from a domestic or multinational Headquartered in the relevant region.

Please complete the one that most accurately reflects the area of wellbeing of your submission. Each assessment is approximately 20-25 questions and measures where you stand on four levels of maturity related to workplace wellbeing.

Application guidance
We want to emphasize that the awards process has specific guidance in place that is important to follow. Failure to comply with these rules may result in the disqualification of your application. We encourage all applicants to carefully review the below guidance to ensure they are eligible to apply and that their written submission is complete and meets the necessary requirements.
- All applications should be submitted in English or French.
- Try to include performance results, metrics and statistics where applicable to further support your entry.
- Written submissions should include the name of your organization and the name of the person within your organization that has completed the submission.
- Your written submission of not more than 750 words should be divided into numbered paragraphs that cover each of the criteria points for the award you are entering.The 750 maximum word count limit must be adhered to. Any words beyond this limit will not be considered.
- To ensure fairness in the judging process, the criteria used for evaluation will be based solely on the quality of the evidence submitted.
- Hyperlinks to evidence are not permitted. Please include all evidence written directly within the application.
- Applications received after the advertised deadline will not be considered.
- To maintain fairness and impartiality during the awards assessment period, applicants and organizations are not permitted to contact the awards judges.

No, we welcome registrations from both existing clients of TELUS Health and new contacts. We are looking to champion wellbeing-led business and individuals across the world.
No, it’s completely free to enter the awards.
We only require you to complete the WSI once, regardless of the number of awards you apply for. However, we recommend enhancing your chances of recognition by submitting a short case study tailored to each entry.
Please ensure that your submission is finalized by July 1, 2024.
Anyone can register their company for an award, however please note that for employer award categories applicants may need to consult with HR colleagues to complete the Workplace Strategy Index portion of their submission.
You may nominate someone else for an award, but please ensure you have their permission.
Only shortlisted companies and individuals are eligible to submit an entry. If you wish to be considered for a late entry, please contact marie.bourdon@telushealth.com

Employer awards are split into two parts. First, the completion of our Workplace Strategy Index, which will provide your company with a score and be weighted as 40% of your submission. Secondly, a 750-word case study submission, which represents the other 60% of your submission. The case study element will be scored based on the quality of programs covered, and the evidence provided in the written submission against the award criteria.
No, the Workplace Strategy Index is only applicable to employer entries.
Employer awards only: You can save and make amendments to the Workplace Strategy Index up until you submit the assessment. Individual: Once you have submitted your entry, you can not make any further amendments.
