About the Mental Health Index.

The Mental Health Index provides a measure of mental health, related work productivity, and the issues that make a difference to both. It is conducted in multiple geographies and is offered by TELUS Health free of charge.

This month’s report examines employee perceptions of their managers and leadership aspirations: 

  • Workers with unsupportive managers experience significantly lower mental health scores
  • Workers with supportive managers are at least twice as likely to recommend their organisation as a good place to work and at least 65 per cent more likely to believe they have a future with their employer
  • Equal proportions of workers aspire to be people leaders as those who do not
  • Anxiety and isolation have been the lowest mental health sub-scores for more than two years
