Onsite Skin Checks
Two in three Australians will be affected by skin cancer by the age of 701
Although outdoors workers are at greater risk of developing skin cancers, office workers are at a similar or greater risk for developing a melanoma. Every year, TELUS Health runs skin check clinics for tens of thousands of employees across Australia.
Our model involves experienced and skilled medical doctors who perform thorough skin examinations onsite and provide immediate recommendations for treatment and follow-up actions.

Unlike many other providers, our Skin Checks are performed by experienced medical doctors.
To date, we have performed skin check clinics for over 50,000 patients in every state, territory, capital city, and hundreds of regional and remote locations.
Our unique model involves medical doctors conducting comprehensive skin examinations using a dermatoscope.
This allows them to provide immediate recommendations on treatment and necessary follow-up actions.
1. Employees complete a personal history and sun exposure questionnaire.
2. The employee receives a comprehensive full-body skin check from an experienced medical doctor.

3. The doctor provides immediate feedback to the employee on the results of the skin check and any recommendations for further action. If necessary, a GP referral is given.

4. Our dedicated Skin Check management team will make sure to follow-up any urgent referrals to ensure appropriate treatment is taken care of.
5. A summary report outlining referral statistics and participation is provided to your organisation.

6. Education is provided by the doctor and is tailored to individual risk profile (15-minute appointment only).
When required, we refer all treatment to the employee’s GP. We encourage people to take ownership of their skin and overall wellbeing by attending regular consults with their GP. TELUS Health does not receive any financial incentives for recommending biopsies or excisions. All such treatments are referred to the employee’s family doctor or a local specialist. We do not perform any procedures onsite. Following a thorough review by our medical director and legal team of the Medicare rebate scheme, TELUS Health will not request Medicare cards from participants.
