Join Ann Kuzee, Senior Legal Counsel at TELUS Health Absence and Disability Management, and Paula Allen, Global Leader and VP Research and Insights, for an insightful and informative webinar.
Held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 2pm ET, the session will focus on how fostering an optimal workplace environment, coupled with a straightforward yet robust mental health framework, can help significantly reduce the complexities and stress of managing employee requests under the ADA, FMLA, and PWFA.
Webinar attendees will gain insights into creating a supportive workplace climate and implementing an effective mental health model. They will also engage in a practical exercise, navigating a mental health scenario to understand the interplay and potential conflicts among the ADA, FMLA, and PWFA.
The webinar will offer an overview of organizational practices that support optimal health and productivity while reducing undue risk of adverse outcomes for employees and the organization, before, during and after a disability claim - with the goal of enhancing employers' ability to manage mental health accommodations and leave requests with excellence.

Ann Kuzee

Ann Kuzee, is Senior Legal Counsel, TELUS Health, where she focuses on Absence and Disability Management for Absence and Disability Management, US. In her role, she is the primary legal representative for the service and interprets regulations related to federal, state and municipal leaves and other employment laws. Ann is an accomplished Human Resources professional and experienced attorney in employment and disability leave laws, who has in-depth knowledge of the healthcare industry and global manufacturing sector. Ann earned her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, holds a master’s degree in Human Resources Development from Western Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Davenport University. Her certifications include an SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CPDM and CHPSE.
Paula Allen
Global Leader, Research and Client Insights, TELUS Health
Paula Allen is the global leader of research and total well-being at TELUS Health (formerly LifeWorks). In this role, she manages the research agenda for TELUS Health, which includes primary research, exploratory data science, research collaborations and meta-analyses. Her focus is on: discovering, defining and communicating industry trends; service development that aligns with emerging market needs; and supporting TELUS Health’s clients with insights and data-driven decision guidance. Allen is a well-recognized expert in all areas of workplace mental health, learning strategies, disability management and drug plan management.
